A baby in a manger.
Merry Christmas everyone! In all the fun and gift giving, I’m most thankful for the gift of Jesus. And I encourage you (and your children) to accept this gift, if you haven’t already. I know, I’ve said this before. And I’ll say it again. I cannot imagine a life void of him. The creator of the universe, who started as a baby in a manger. Yet get to know him, for he didn’t stay a baby. He did amazing miracles (I’ve personally experienced miracles in my life), can identify with your trials and temptations in life, and turned the way people thought about so many things upside down. To make all things new.
It’s what you do with the gift that is this baby born on Christmas that matters. The word Christmas itself refers to the coming of the anointed one or the Messiah- the Christ. A life choosing to accept this gift is forever changed in amazing ways. Including eternal life. There is only one way, yet it comes with zero work on your part. Just accept that you are not perfect, but Jesus did live a perfect life, then died on our behalf, so that when God looks at you, he sees his perfect sacrifice in our place: Jesus. That’s it. No amount of good things you could ever do can achieve this.
It really is the greatest gift.
From my family to yours- Merry Christmas!
