On March 27th, Maggie turned 4.
Not sure why, but I feel like we turned a corner and truly have no baby or toddler in the house anymore.
In light of the world situation, we were not surrounded by extended family or friends. Which is obviously not the norm. And this is the first birthday that Maggie had been really into. She talked about it for a couple of months, and we had a countdown going. The week leading up to the big day, she would just beem and ask about how many days left, and what we would do, and how she wanted white cake with pink frosting with a bunny on top. Prepping her there would be no party- other than our immediate family- she just cried. Broke my heart.
This is also the first year she’s had official friends. Mags is a tough nut. She scowls at basically everyone in public. Yet if she’s decided she likes you, or you are her friend, she holds fast to that. And she is loyal. (We’re working on “being nice” to all people. )
That said- we made it a super fun day! We did games, a scavenger hunt, presents, and cupakes. We even had a drive by parade of friends in their cars. It was amazing and something we’ll all remember!
So here’s to our girl who loves music and dancing, books and babies, games and outdoor play; Happy 4!!!!
We love you Maggie!!
