So sometimes as a mom I think I’m just a glutton for punishment. Anyone else out there? I also think since I got married and had kids later in life, I had a lot of time to ponder on how things “should be”. The older I get in life, I realize that our thoughts or expectations can sometimes (often-time, for me) be our enemy. We need to go with what works for our kids, our family, and roll with certain things based on stage of life.
But gosh darn it, I love fall and have decided that each year I’m going to do a fall photo shoot with my kids and pumpkins, so at least it looks like fall. (We live in AZ.) Ha!! Come whatever or high water, we are doing this! So, with that set in my mind, I just better appreciate the funny that will come with this “shoot”- because there is a LOT!
Really, it’s a tall order asking a 4 year old and an 18 months old (redheaded and feisty, or not) to help play out my fall dreams. So here are 2 photos I probably should post and just leave it at that. Aren’t they cute? And doesn’t it look like fall?
But here’s real life folks. And you know what? We did have fun and here is where the real memories are made.
I still think that there are some things you should push to do, as you know the memories will be well worth it. And if/when you have a complete #momfail, at least laugh at it all. Have a great story? Please share with me in the comments.
