And My Cancer Numbers Went…

And my cancer numbers went…DOWN!! Happy birthday to me. (Yes, it’s my birthday.) All glory and praise to God!

I feel like I’m on a new path. I didn’t know if I was going to be facing another treatment, and the month+ of prep that went with it. And now that I’m not, what do I do now? I get that might sound weird for those of you who haven’t had major health issues. It’s an amazing place to be, don’t get me wrong. Yet when you prepare your mind for what is very possible to come with medical treatments, and then find out you don’t need them, your mind and world kind of open up.

I’m still focusing on staying healthy, so exercise, rest, and healthy eating are still part of what I need to “do” daily.

Otherwise, I’m praying a lot and using it as a time to refocus and get some breathing room in my life. With kids, the daily schedule is naturally busy. I’m also pulling back quite a bit from social media. God has been impressing that it’s not where my time is best spent. And it’s quite freeing.

For now I’m enjoying my family. When something comes up at their school, I’m there. If a friend needs me, I’m there. If there’s an event at church, I’m there. Now that doesn’t mean I say yes to everything. That’s how we burn out. But as much as I feel led, I make time for what I feel is worth my time.

I’m still an after school Uber service for my kids, but having breathing room in my day is making a huge difference for the better. I encourage you to do the same.
