Kid Style- Sunday Best

I say Sunday best, somewhat tongue in cheek.  Our church is super casual.  (Come check us out if you are an AZ local). Which is something we like about it.  I can get all gussied up (rare!!), or wear jeans.  So great. Especially during a stage of life with littles.  And littles with developing opinions- yikes!  So for days when only a superhero shirt will do, we are good to go.  Or for my Maggie, who has decided at 18 months, that she wants/needs to wear a certain thing.  Like totally melts down if she can’t wear what she’s decided on.  And it’s always a dress (which works for Sundays).  When it’s funny is that it’s not just on Sunday, but any day, no matter what we have going on (even not leaving the house-lol!!).  I guess she’s a “fancy” girl at heart.  It’s quite cute, actually.

So for us, this is the stage of the Whale Dress.

The dress is a hand-me-down from Gymboree.  I can’t even walk in that store, for the safety of our budget! Ha! Everything is just so cute! Those people know how to reel in people like me.  Do you have a kid’s store that does that to you?? And I do have to note, that for Miss Mags, this is also the stage of the cutest hair “spout” I ever did see.  Whale, spout, there’s a joke in there, I think.  Total coincidence on that one!!!

And here is brother looking dapper.  Which is also not easy these days.  He’s super cute, but all cleaned up is something he’s rather not be.  He is a true boy at heart- which I love.  And would rather be running and playing as his alter ego “Lightning Ash” (kid you not, he’s claimed that as his superhero side), than a dressed up boy.  His shirt is Ralph Lauren (I’m not a designer type mom, but just know that you can find brands like this at non-department store establishments), and his shorts are Carters (a classic for the basics). And the Crocs.  Yet I do have to say that Crocs are super durable and the kids can learn to put them on by themselves at a fairly early ago, so while we might be ending the era of when I’ll have Ash wear them, they’ve been a win in my book!!  And side note- no, I don’t intentionally coordinate my children- no dis against you if you do.  That would just be one more thing to think about in my already crazy brain!!

So whether it’s Sunday, or any day, redhead or not, have fun with what your kiddos wear when you can. Even if it’s the same dress over and over and over…ha!!!

What is the clothing item that your kid could wear every day?? Let me know in the comments.
